ASIA PUBLIC CULTURE ASSOCIATION
BASED IN TAIWAN, EMPOWER THE REGION. BASED IN ASIA, EMPOWER THE WORLD.
Asia Public Culture Association (APCA) is a non-governmental organisation established in Taiwan in January 2017.
We do research, online courses, creativity workshops, conference and international exchange to support civil rights activists in our region.
We value the vital role of civil society in deepening and localising the universal values to societies with different political systems, religions and cultures. We also pay close attention to the challenge they are encountering today.
We work to create open space for civil society activists in our region to exchange ideas and their firsthand experiences in order to boost new ideas and discourses derived from the bottom-up experience.
We believe that this fruitful output could further strengthen the motivation and creativity of activists in our region to address the global challenges that the universal values are facing today.
Online Courses Development
We do research and produce online courses about the political culture of democracy and other universal values.
We create space and opportunity for activists in our region to exchange their firsthand experience and ideas.
We hold workshops to enhance participants' confidence in specific universal values. We facilitate the development of their own ideas about these universal values in the local and practical perspectives.
We hold public events and activities irregularly to approach diverse communities to find out the practice of universal values in different perspectives and at the local level.
WORKSHOPS & INTERNSHIP
We create space to exchange experiences and ideas to foster the deepened understanding of the role of civil society in the promotion of the universal values.
